Really hate to hear that. I hope they gave everyone some form of severence.

I wish companies would change their fiscal year dates so that if layoffs were coming it wouldn't be during the holidays and during the coldest time of year when it costs more to live.

Wellmont got me (and many others) 3 days before Christmas last year. Thank goodness it was only p/t for me but for most others it was the only living they knew.

No nothing. Just said it was a bad time. Placed up some of the older ones at some Grundy mines. I'll be fine, but some are really hurting.

No. It's about $20 a week I guess. Health, vision, dental. They're one of the only companys left in the US that give you a pension. After 5 years you're vested.
